Originals only. Every shirt left a factory in the era it belongs to and was sold or worn at the time. Most of what is sold elsewhere as retro is a recently made copy of an old design. Ours are not.

How do I find the right size?

Ignore the label and use the measurements. Every product page lists pit to pit across the chest and top to bottom down the back, taken flat. Compare those against a shirt you already own, because sizing from the eighties and nineties bears little relation to modern sizing.

How is condition graded?

Every shirt gets an honest grade plus notes on anything specific such as a mark, a repair or print wear, alongside photos of the actual item. Vintage means used, and we would rather you know exactly what you are getting.

Original shirts, not retro reproductions

Most of what gets sold as a retro football shirt is a new copy of an old design. Ours are not. Every jersey here left a factory in the era it belongs to and was sold or worn at the time, which is the entire reason it is worth owning. Once the surviving stock of a given season runs out, there is no reprint. Nobody is making more 1994 Italy shirts.

That also means almost everything on this page is one of one. Each listing is a single physical shirt in a single size, not a product line with a size dropdown, so when a size is gone it is gone.

Shop by era

Each decade produced a completely different garment. The 1970s are heavy cotton with no sponsor at all. The 1980s bring the first sponsors and the template kits. The 1990s are the loud ones, baggy and patterned, and the reason most people start collecting. The 2000s tighten up and give you the Galácticos, the 2010s are the modern classics turning collectable right now, and the 2020s cover recent short-run kits including 2022 World Cup final shirts.

Club football runs across the Premier League, Serie A, La Liga, the Eredivisie and beyond, with the deepest runs at Barcelona, Manchester United, Real Madrid, AC Milan, Juventus and Ajax.

National team shirts cover World Cup and European Championship kits from every era. If you are after a specific name on the back, there are dedicated pages for players including Messi, Ronaldinho, Cristiano Ronaldo, Henry, Zidane and Beckham. By manufacturer, the biggest are Nike, Adidas, Umbro and Kappa.

How we grade and measure

Size labels from the eighties and nineties bear little relation to modern sizing, so those numbers are what you should compare against a shirt you already own, not the letter on the tag.

Authenticity is checked by hand before anything is listed. No fan versions, no replicas passed off as originals. The rarest pieces, including match and player issue shirts, are gathered in grail shirts.
