WESLEY SNEIJDER SHIRTS

The Ajax shirts here are #18, in Adidas home and away kits from 2004-05 and 2005-06, from before his move abroad. Both seasons are represented, including a still-tagged BNWT away shirt in size XXL. This is where Sneijder broke into the first team as a teenager, in the Ajax academy pipeline that also produced several of his future Netherlands teammates.

At Inter Milan Sneijder wore #10, in Nike home and away shirts from 2009-10 and 2010-11, the years around the club's treble-winning season. He kept the same #10 later at Galatasaray, in a 2014-15 home shirt, also Nike, a number that followed him from Italy to Turkey. Between the two clubs, #10 became the number most associated with Sneijder for the rest of his career, even as the shirts around it changed colour completely.

The Netherlands shirts split between #14, worn in a 2004-06 home shirt early in his career, and #10, worn later in home shirts from 2010-11 and 2012-14, covering two of the tournament cycles he was part of with the national side. Both numbers are Nike, matching the brand across the rest of his career after Ajax. Between Ajax, Inter, Galatasaray and the Netherlands, this collection runs from the mid 2000s through the 2010s, with every shirt an original from its own season, hand-checked and photographed individually, and measured pit to pit and top to bottom against the label of the period rather than a modern equivalent.
