The AFC Ajax 2001-02 Away Shirt features a dark navy central front panel framed by lighter grey side panels, a bold blocked design that reads very differently from the club's famous home shirt. A buttoned navy polo collar tops the shirt and the adidas three stripes run over both shoulders, with the polyester of the ClimaLite era giving it a light, dry handle in a regular fit.
The ABN AMRO sponsor is printed across the chest with the club crest on the left and the adidas logo opposite, and the navy and grey blocking continues into the sleeve cuffs. The clean panelling and the classic collar give the shirt the understated, well made feel of adidas kits from the turn of the century.
On the back, Zlatan is printed above the number 9 in original style printing, representing the Swedish forward during his 2001-02 campaign in Amsterdam, a tall, technical and audacious striker whose first touch and acrobatic finishing announced him to European football.
