Why we measure every shirt
Size labels from the 1980s and 1990s have little to do with modern sizing, and they differ per brand within the same decade. A Nike L from 1998 and an adidas L from 1994 are rarely the same shirt. That is why we do not ask you to trust the letter on the tag: every listing shows the two measurements below, taken by hand with the shirt laid flat, in centimetres.
The reliable way to buy is to lay flat a shirt you already own and like the fit of, measure it the same two ways, and compare those numbers with the ones on the product page.
