The Ajax 1998-99 Home Shirt features the club's traditional white body split by the broad red band down the centre, cut by Umbro in the lightweight jersey of the late nineties with a simple collar.
The Ajax crest is embroidered over the heart with the Umbro double diamond opposite, and the raised ABN AMRO sponsor sits across the red band in the club's familiar layout. The clean red and white design and the neat trim on the collar and cuffs capture the look of Ajax at the end of a golden decade.
On the back, F. De Boer is printed above the number 4 in original style printing, representing the Dutch defender during his long spell at the club, an elegant and composed centre back whose range of passing from the back and calm reading of the game made him one of the finest defenders of his generation. The print carries the initial because his twin brother was in the same squad.
