Europe holds the largest share
Most of the rail is European: England, Italy, Germany, France, Spain, Turkey, Scotland, Sweden, Portugal and Belgium all sit inside Europe national shirts, alongside the Netherlands, whose orange has stayed recognisable across three decades of kit deals in a way few other countries can claim.
South America, two countries deep
The South American side of the rail is narrower but heavier on names. It runs almost entirely through Brazil and Argentina, gathered in South America national shirts, home to a Maradona 1994 shirt and a run of Ronaldo and Ronaldinho Brazil jerseys from the years either side of 2002.
The rest of the footballing map
