LUIS SUÁREZ SHIRTS

Five Suárez shirts, all from his years at Ajax before the moves to Liverpool and Barcelona that came later. Every one is Adidas, split between two different squad numbers, from a period of his career that gets far less attention than what followed it.

More information

Ajax's number 16

The Ajax shirts here start with #16, in home and away kits from 2008-09 and 2009-10, from his first two seasons in Amsterdam. Four of the five pieces in this collection carry this number, in sizes from S to XL, across both home and away versions.

The move to number 10

By 2010-11 Suárez had moved up to #10, in the single home shirt that completes this collection, from his last season at the club before the transfer to Liverpool, the only shirt in this collection to carry that number. All five shirts sit inside a tight three-year window, entirely within the 2000s and 2010s, a tight window rather than a career spanning decades. Every shirt here is an original from its own season, hand-checked and photographed individually, and measured pit to pit and top to bottom against the label of the period rather than a modern size guide.
